Well, I got welcomed home in true Vancouver fashion. It’s raining. Did I mention that I had elected to not pack my umbrella when I left for my vacation? I was definitely damp by the time I got home. 😮
Home again at last, but definitely no rest for the wired. Yes, you read that right, not weary at all, sugarated instead, may even make a coffee in a bit. I missed my particular coffee (it’s German). Too much to do for me to be weary anyway. Unpacking to do, much editing to enter into actual Word documents, and an outline to check before the end of the month. Thankfully, tomorrow is a national holiday, so I’ll have time to get to all of that, or at least most of it.
I’m of two minds about my new pass through the pdf file for The Nine. I’m almost a third of the way through already, and I had forgotten how this method of editing forced me to look at bigger picture items than just the wording of a sentence or paragraph and see the patterns too, more generalized shortcomings. I’m thinking I may actually complete this pass before entering the changes, unless I start getting antsy about getting those changes entered before June 1st, at which point all bets are off as to what I might do. I like to be the unpredictable crazy writer-lady sometimes. 🙂
I’m sorry the vacation is over, but I had a good time, and a productive one too on many fronts. It’s also nice to be home again, with my stuff, in my writer’s cave (aka apartment). I’m hoping I can slip right back into the rhythm of my day-to-day routines. It shouldn’t be that hard since I like my routines, so I foresee no problems, but then when do you ever foresee problems and not try to avoid them?
And, as promised, I’m including a few pictures in this post, for those of you who have missed them during my vacation. Call them the results of assorted photography expeditions at varying times in my life as a photographer.
