Project Status
This is the page where I will be positing the current status of my work that is, in some way, in progress. You may have noticed, I tend to have a lot on the go in some form or other, and this is just the stuff that is formed up enough to get code-names, working titles and be called story ideas. We won’t go into my files of fragments and half-formed ideas. That would take several weeks to type out, even if I was willing, which I’m not. Too much changes there too frequently for that. Please note that books which have been published or are in the final publishing stage will disappear from this page.

Sheesh! How do you keep track of all of that? You’re only working ONE that you’re singling out to get published first, right? I’d have characters slapping me left and right from confusing them if I was working THAT many books at once!
well, the three mirrors books are in varying stages of being worked on, all editing. I’m about to start the first book of my necromantic trilogy. My characters are, admittedly, a mouthy, unruly lot, but seem more content once first draft is done and massively impatient before that. The key for me is good notes and clearly defined characters. That said, with writing, I’m both a classic workaholic and a serious multitasker. It keeps me busy and happy.
Wow! That’s awesome! I’m an organizational freak that would end up in a little white padded cell if I tried doing all of that at the same time. At the moment I’m only working on two novels at the same time. It’s amazing to me that you can multitask all of that at once! Were you always that way when it comes to writing?
I am alway like that. If I’m only doing two things at once, it’s a miracle. I get bored at that point :p. I will say, though, when I write the first draft, it’s the only writing thing I work on for the twent-something days it usually takes me other an the odd note for an idea.
I’m writing the first novel in two different series right now. I would be afraid that I’d share personality traits with characters and make them too much alike. After the first book I’m sure it will get easier to just have each character’s personality down, though. Plus, I’ve only just begun writing and I use a semi-organic outline, so I’m getting used to and finding out about my characters as I go. Which can be crazy at times!
This is a fantastic idea and super-motivating, I bet. Getting to see your own progress is always gratifying. Nice meeting you, Julie!
Nice to meet you too. The page is encouraging certainly. I look at it every time I think I can afford to slow down.
